Sleep, exercise and eat healthier in 2011

This resolution isn't off to a good start. It's almost midnight and I'm still up.

In 2011, I will try to sleep earlier, exercise more and eat healthier.

I've been unwell quite a few times this year, and I also found out that I have high cholesterol. This is also an attempt to undertake The Happiness Project which I abandoned so quickly last year just because I received the book way into January 2010.

I am generally happy, but according to The Happiness Project I could be happier. And I would like to enjoy the moment more, be less whinge-y and be nicer to FH. Each month, the project will tackle a different aspect of happiness. January deals with energy -- I need energy to take on another project in my already busy and project-filled life. Getting enough sleep, exercise and being healthy may just give me the energy to juggle all these projects.

While I did not sleep nor exercise today, I did manage to eat as healthy as I could by reducing the red meat I consume and eating a bit more veggies. I plan not to eat meat (except fish) for dinner except for very special occasions (once or twice a month.)

I also plan to ride a bike to work twice a week to start off with. With FH's help, I test drove a couple of bikes today and really enjoyed riding the bikes. So much fun more than walking! Or jogging/exercising at lunch time then having to shower and eat lunch and feeling guilty at work for being out so long.

I'm really keen on the Dahon Eco 3 folding bike pictured above because the small size felt more comfortable for me than the usual-sized bikes. But we decided I should sleep on it before buying anything especially since they'll have a couple more bikes that are my size coming in this Thursday. But I'm really keen on the cute Dahon Eco 3 folding bike :)
